{bb} question about version 1.9h

I have some servers running solaris 2.6
I would like to upgrade to bbc1.9h-btf, right now these servers are running
bb15d3 version.
I have another boxes with solaris 9 running bbc1.9h-btf this version.

My question is, Can I tar the directory in solaris 9 and copy to 2.6 boxes?
This should be work?
