RE: {bb} Synchronizing bb-hosts

The readme says to have all the bb-hosts the same.  However, we've been using BB for 5+ years w/150+ servers and maintain a single/changing bb-hosts file on the server.  Each client machine has 3 lines.  The first is a comment, then one for the BB server (BBDISPLAY BBNET BBPAGER) and one for itself.  Neither of these should change too often.  ;)

ie:

cat ~bb/etc/bb-hosts
#IPADDRESS    HOSTNAME    #
1.2.3.4               servername  # BBDISPLAY BBNET BBPAGER
1.2.3.5               clientname   #

Subject: {bb} Synchronizing bb-hosts

Big Brother is great for small networks that do not change very often.  As the number of hosts increases, however, it becomes hard to maintain each bb-hosts file.  What is the best approach for synchronizing bb-hosts on all clients and servers?  Is there common approach, such as rsync, cron/wget, ftp?  Ideally, I would like to make updates (1) occur only when changes have been made to bb-hosts on one of the clients or servers, (2) overwrite older versions, leaving newer intact, and (3) be as short as possible from initial change to final update.

Thank you,
