Passes nothing to the BB server.. strange, should be the easiest part.
1. windows client runs scripts listed in 'externals list'
2. they write small files in the 'saved log location' directory
3. windows client finds these log files and sends them to the server..
If you run the script manually, it should create this log file in this
directory, which should be sent by the BBClient automagically. Do you
have other windows client extensions that work?

After fighting another issue with bb (getting it to send notifications
to
exchange email accounts via postfix using alternate ports), I finally
got a
chance to get back to finding a solution for monitoring Exchange Mail
Store
sizes.
I have downloaded both .VBS scripts that are posted on deadcat, modified
them to fit our environment and added them to the externals list on
bbntclient. Neither work. I did get the Exchange.zip script to
actually
post a log entry, but it passes nothing to the big brother server. Am I
missing something? Has anyone actually gotten either of these scripts
to
work properly? Thanks for any info.

Haven't used them but I took a quick look:
StandardExchange.vbs is a file that would be run by the BB client
installed on the exchange server, as it checks the file size of e.g.
d:\exchdb\priv1.edb.
It says it is a version of the other one distributed as exchange.zip.

Forgive me if this has been hashed over before, I tried a search of the
archives, but they weren't available. Guess the site is down for
maintenance.
Anyway, my site has a couple of Exchange standard servers. The users
can't
play well together, and have on a couple of occasions filled the 16 GB
limit
of the mail store and shut the server down. Until we get all the proper
knuckles rapped, I was wondering if there was a decent script set up to
monitor the size of the Exchange mail stores. We have two servers
running
Exchange. Both are Exchange 2000 standard on Windows 2000 servers. Our
big
brother server is a Fedora Core x86 box. The VB script on deadcat looks
like it is to monitor exchange servers using a Wintel-based bb server.
Thank you for any assistance.
