The client provides the following tests:

  cpu   - processor load.
  disk  - disk space.
  msgs  - log file contents.
  procs - running processes.

It can also run external scripts to monitor other things. If you are
not interested in such information, then there is no need to bother
with the client part.

Alternatives to the normal way of monitoring these parameters include
bb-central:

  http://www.deadcat.net/viewfile.php?fileid=807

and bbfetch

  http://www.deadcat.net/viewfile.php?fileid=776

These can be used in situations where outward connections from the
target machine are not appropriate.
