{bb} Status paging for the bb server

I have tried searching the archives, but am either not using the proper
string, or it just isn't there.  Back in the bad old days, the team I used
to work with had a Server and Network monitoring System (SANS) that we would
use to monitor our servers.  After Big Brother came along, we still used it
to do give us a status page three times a day to let us know the Big Brother
server was still up, and our pager system was working.

I have recently set up a Big Brother server, and am working through the
'holes' in the system.  One is a status page, or email letting us know that
Big Brother is still working.  Has anyone done such a thing?  If so, was it
part of the Big Brother system, or a separate script?  Thanks for any input.
