As I understand it, when a host is disabled the "page" messages which
send out alerts are discarded. A "status" message, however, will
actually create a dummy log file if one does not already exist. By
inserting an additional clause to that conditional, you could make
BB do what you want. If you search for the word "undetermined" in
bbd.c, that should take you to the correct part of the file.
