AW: AW: AW: {bb} Migrating big brother 2.30 (Windows) to 1.9i (GNU/Linux)

Hi Rick,

You are right. bbchkhosts.sh shows several unknown directives which end with ^M. After removing the carriage returns from the files which I've copied from the windows machine (bb-hosts, bbwarnsetup.cfg and bbwarnrules.cfg), bbchkhosts.sh and bbchkwarnrules.sh don't show errors anymore and the html-pages look like they should. Thanks, all.

Btw: GNU ist not unix. ;)

Best Regards
Sebastian Noack

Seb - you copied files from windows to unix, did you get the line
endings converted?

Does etc/bbchkhosts.sh give you any errors?

Is the BB server generating $BBVAR/logs/foo.conn files? I suspect not,
because of your "INVALID STATUS COLOR" messages.

A message should look like:
Server.conn green sometext

If it is getting ".conn" for $2, then it seems to me there is an issue
with the host name, and the host name is the last thing on the line when
there are no other tests, and if you have a line that ends server^M^J BB
may pick up the server name as "server^M" as lines end with ^J alone on
unix..

HTH,
Rick
