{bb} pagelevels question

My BBDISP & BBPAGER are on the same server. My BBserver is configured
with "pagelevels: red" & "pagerecovered: TRUE". I have a few clients
that are configured with "pagelevels: red yellow". I have been working
with an experiemental Windows BB client, and I have seen something
strange when setting my "pagelevels: red yellow".

An issue I am seeing in testing is when I change the thresholds on the
client, so that reports are sent with the statuses in the following
order: green --> yellow --> green --> red. I do not get a 'recovered'
email, when the report status changes from yellow --> green. Also, when
I changing the threshold so that the report status changes to red, an
alert is not sent.

I believe the cause for this is under BBHOME/tmp there is a file,
"np_steve.aiello\@ge.com_testnt.disk". Now I know BB uses this file as a
place holder so that BB won't send out another alert before the alert
frequency specified in the configs. Hence this is why I do not get an
alert when the status of red is encountered.

Now I know there is this BB protocol command, "ack rm_event
www.bb4.com.disk 345". And in testing when the report goes from yellow
--> green, if I manually use this command a "recovered" alert is sent
out. The alert temp file clears, and when the report status changes from
green --> red, an alert email is sent out correctly.

Is it the BB client's responsibility, when going from a pagelevel status
--> green to send a "ack rm_event" message after it sends the "status"
report ? If it is the BBserver responsibility to send out the
"recovered" alert without the client needing to send a "ack rm_event" I
am not seeing that. Would that be because the BBserver's pagelevel is
only set to "red" & not "red yellow" like some of my clients.

Any feedback is most welcomed.
  Steve
