You should set "Activatelog" with the "bbntcfg" utility and have a look
at the BB.LOG file that is created in your TEMP directory. If it is
still unclear what is happening, you should post the file (or the
interesting parts of it) here.

It might also be helpful to know any application software that is
running on this machine. Some things are known not to "play nice" with
the BB client.
