{bb}Big Brother on AIX 5.2

Hello,

I am new to mailing  lists so if I am breaking any rules please let me know.

I am trying to install BB v1.9i on and AIX pSeries machine. We do not have the IBM cc compiler so I am trying to use gcc instead. I am also using apache for the HTTP server.

In order to try to use gcc I have had to go into the  ~/bb1.9i-btf/src/minimake/genmake and remove the lines that have CC=cc and made them CC=gcc in order to get the make to even start. This really does not work because I am getting all kinds of warnings of incompatible implicit declaration of built-in function (about ten printed out pages of them) and then 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 1, then 2, then 2.

Has anyone got BB v1.9i running on AIX 5.2 and if so do I have to use the IBM cc compiler?
