Yes, the scripts.  Because we're a disjoint operation, we have several versions 
of Linux running in-house.  I wanted a single set of scripts that worked across 
all of them, which meant adding case statements to files like bbsys.local. 
Builds on each client wouldn't have been feasible, as they're often stripped 
boxes with no gcc installed.
