Hi all -
I'm wondering if anyone knows if BB trys to ignore the
purple timeout when the associated host is down (ie,
it fails the conn test).
In other words, I have a host that is down for a few
days (bad hardware). The conn test shows red, and the
other tests all show purple. This is to be expected,
but I'm wondering if BB can be configured to not show
the purple tests for that host when it's down.
This is a bit of an issue for me because our group uses
the summary screen quite extensively (I'm modified it
to include some more information than the standard
summary screen), and when a host is down, and all its
other tests turn purple, the summary screen starts looking
very "ugly"...if the purple tests were ignored when
the host is down, then it wouldn't be so bad.
While looking through the docs, I just saw a fleeting
reference to this, but it didn't really answer the question -
but it *did* start me wondering if this is just a
problem for me since I'm using fping, and not the
built-in conn test.
Anyone have any experiences / thoughts on this ? I guess
I could just go and disable those tests for a couple
of days, but I was looking for something a bit more
automatic...
Thanks,
John
