The timing is important here. The default delay, before things
turn purple, is 30 minutes. The setting is PURPLEDELAY in the
bbdef-server.sh file. If you are seeing purple status in less
time that this, it might indicate that something else is going
wrong.

The colour of the tests may be confusing, but they are not really
relevant to the problem. It just means that there were no errors
when the test was last run, but that was too long ago (greater
than the PURPLEDELAY setting). If you check the indicated time
on the test page, all should become clear.

That suggests that either the test is not being run frequently
enough, or is intermittently failing (more often than not).

Did you increase the size of MAXLINE in response to an error?
Is there anything in the BBOUT file which might correspond to
this test? It would also be helpful to know exactly how this
test is running. Have you just defined it as a network test for
your BBNET server, or are you running an separate script to pull
data using SNMP? If you are running a script, it might be helpful
to add some debugging output to it.
