{bb} BB condition not right

I'm playing around with BB at the moment I have installed the server on a separate box and the client on Red Hat 9.  Although
Connection & SMTP appear green (these two tests are done by the server itself) however when I try to monitor disk or messages no
condition is produced i.e. there is now green box it's just blank.
 
However once the client reports and error such as reaching panic level for disk space the appropriate icon is displayed, when the
space returns to normal it remains red. 
 
Any help would be most grateful.
