{bb} maint.pl

I've installed the maint.pl script, which should allow me to 
enable/disable maintenance windows for monitored servers/services.  
Except I'm having a problem... When I schedule something, there are no 
errors being reported, and there are no files being created in my 
bbvar/disabled directory (yes, I checked that the user bb is running 
under does have write permission to this directory).  I am however 
getting the email from BB alerting me that it was disabled.  I've also 
made sure that ENABLE_DISABLE is put into my RUNOPTS in bbdef-server.sh .

What is going on?  I'm running BB 1.9e with the BBGEN plugin.
