Do you mean that, after sourcing the bbdef.sh script (to load up the
BB environment), the BBPAGE variable is set to the FQDN and not the
IP number? If so, that is a problem. It should also be the number.

If you manually override with:

export BBPAGE=<ip address of your BB Pager>

(or the IP address of the BB Display again is that machine is doing
both jobs) after sourcing bbdef.sh, Things should work correctly.

You could try a re-install, especially if you have not invested
too much time in getting things "just so". It might be helpful,
however, to learn exactly what has gone wrong. I think that you
are close to the answer now.

The value for BBPAGE should be set automatically by the bbinc.sh
script (which is called by bbdef.sh) and is taken from the
bb-hosts file. As a first step, you should probably run the
bbchkhosts.sh script (if you have not already done so) to check
for any errors. You could also post your bb-hosts file so that
I can check it manually. Because this could contain sensitive
information, you may prefer to send it directly (rather than
publishing it to the list) and/or modify numbers and names
to avoid giving anything away.

Cheers, Phil.
