As I understand it, having two matching rules here will not make a
difference. It would be the same as if both recipients were specified
in the same rule. For a particular error, BB scans the rules list and
forms a unique list of recipients for which any rule matches.
The effect of an acknowledgement depends on the last two digits of
the code that is sent. If the code is the same as was sent to the
recipient, then the "ack" only applies to them. If the last two digits
are replaced with "99", it is a global "ack" and applies to all
recipients (but not to escalation recipients). The details are in
section 4.4 of the on-line manual.

As long as John and Jane both acknowledge with their individual codes,
each will get the delay that they specified. Things get a little
less clear if either (or both) acknowledge globally. From a quick
scan of the code (and a little testing), it appears that each "ack"
overwrites the last. So, if John acks for an hour then Jane acks
globally a (little later) for 30 minutes, both will start receiving
alerts after 30 minutes.
Cheers, Phil.
