Sorry- I was weary to put my lack of
knowledge out there so I overlooked the fact that I didn’t give all of
the Info. I’m running Red Hat Linux (not
enterprise) with Apache. Yes, when I browse to the host name, I
see the default apache web page. When I browse to hostname/bb, I get a
forbidden message. I will point out the one thing that didn’t
work for me. (Step 5
from the directions…) 5. cd
../.. ln
-s <bbdir> bb where <bbdir> is the new version directory (e.g.
bb1.9i-btf) This
is useful as you don't have to change the directory in your startup
script. (see section 11)
cd bb
chown -R bbuser . where bbuser is the user you defined
in the install process. This makes sure
that the bbuser can write/read into
the BB directory sttructure as you will
probably install while in the root account cd
.. chown
-R bbuser bbvar Here's
my input and error- [bigbrother@bbhost
etc]$ cd ../.. [bigbrother@bbhost
bigbrother]$ ln -s /home/bigbrother/bb1.9i-btf bb [bigbrother@bbhost
bigbrother]$ cd bb [bigbrother@bbhost
bb]$ chown -R bigbrother chown:
too few arguments Try
`chown --help' for more information. [bigbrother@bbhost
bb]$ Regards, From: owner-bb@bb4.com
