RE: {bb} RE: Purple (No Report)
Hi,
There is no n/w problem. I have tested the "telnet" many times. It works
fine / as expected.
Yes, there are a few NFS mounted partitions. Let me try what you have
suggested.

Well, by my reckoning, that's a delay of nearly 22 hours which cannot be
good.
It still feels like there may be a network problem connecting from the
client to the server. You should try the telnet tests to see if that
works.
Another thing that may delay the client is running the "disk" part on
NFS mounted partitions. I don't recall a case where the delay was so
large but, if you think this is a possibility, you could temporarily
disable the disk test by setting DODISK="FALSE" in etc/bbdef-client.sh.
Alternatively, you could create a debugging version of the script
bin/bb-combo.sh, modifying each line that starts "$BB $BBDISP" to use
"echo" instead (six places). Then, if you run the script bin/bb-local.sh
on the command line (as the BB user, after setting
BBHOME) that will test the operation of the client and show you the
output.
Cheers, Phil.
