{bb} Log file of alerts

Is there a log file somewhere or one that can be setup to keep track of ALL
emails and page alerts?  We have an issue where the outgoing mail is logged
into /var/log/syslog but there isn't enough history  in there for me to try
to determine why sometimes people are NOT getting alerts.
