Josephine,
The easiest way I found was to put the following line in root's crontab:
/usr/bin/logger -p alert "Syslog Rotated"
bob

Hello,
I am running bb client in Solaris 9 and i am using logadm to rotate log files
The problem is that I get an alert every time the file is being rotated for as long as it is empty.
I would like to avoid this alarms without disabling the msg check
While searching in the bb archives I found a similar problem that was solved by adding a line to the newsyslog file, so every time the file rotates, a line is added and the file is not empty...
Is there any way to do this (or something similar) using logadm?
Thank you all in advance
