Re: {bb} Solaris 10 problem



Is the hostname in the bb-hosts the fully qualified name that a reverse
lookup on DNS would resolve to?

We have the client on a bunch of 10 systems without any issues.

dns names are resolved fine.  It's using DNS first.
I've tried using host and that works as well.

Hmm, interesting. How is your system resolving hostnames?
If it searches DNS or NIS first then it might be getting a
different name than either 'hostname' or /etc/hosts returns.
